What does the Bible say about Debt?
The Bible talks a lot about debt, and none of it’s good. Scripture doesn’t teach that going into debt is sin, but it is clear that borrowing money is a bad idea. Always.

Fortitude Financial will help you understand the long term, never ending effects of debt and help you achieve freedom. The way to boost your financial wellness is by tackling your debt. Dealing with debt can be overwhelming. Debt can make it difficult to meet your financial obligations, stay on track to achieve future goals, and to live a financially healthy life. You can learn how to pay off debt so you can stop spending this month’s paycheck on last month’s (or last year’s) purchases. If you know it’s a good idea to have a plan in place, but you’re not sure where to start, we’ve got you covered.

The debt snowball method involves radically changing your behavior. In exchange for adopting a fresh approach to budgeting and committing to getting debt paid off, you gain confidence about mastering your finances and optimism about your future.

  • 1. List your debts in order from the smallest to largest. Go after the smallest debt first. Put any extra money you can toward that debt. Where necessary, lower your spending, up your income, or both to make it happen. While you’re attacking the smallest debt, keep paying the minimum on the others.
  • 2. Once you’ve paid off the smallest debt, start on the next smallest. Take everything you were paying at your smallest debt and add it to the minimum payment of the second.
  • 3. Once you’ve paid off that one, move to the next one, then the next. Keep going until you’ve paid off everything.
  • When you start with the smallest debt, you get a quick win that motivates you to keep the process moving forward. You might have many reasons for why now isn’t the time to finally get rid of your debt. The thing is, there will always be reasons to put this off. Don’t put it off any longer. Let Fortitude Financial Coaching help you understand the long-term, never-ending effects of debt and help you achieve financial freedom.
